IT professionals could soon be challenging their workplace stereotypes after undertaking a new course being offered by the government, it has been reported.A government funded initiative, e-skills, has collaborated with UK universities and Micro Focus to introduce a new IT course intended to help improve the business skills of technology professionals, the Times reports.

Experts writing in the British Medical Journal have claimed that a large influx of skilled overseas doctors has brought increased pressure for jobs in the medical profession among UK graduates.

3PAR has announced that it will be creating 80 jobs through its new research and development centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is reported that 80 new software development positions within the company will be filled by 2010, while it is also searching for additional employees for the centre's engineering team.
